Frequently Asked Questions for your Interactive App Hire and Service

HOW DO DELEGATES SET UP THEIR DEVICES?
They need to be connected to the internet, either through the venue Wifi or via a good 4G signal, where they will need to access the App. They can do this either by inputting a simple URL into their web browser or by download the App.
We will provide clear instructions both before the meeting (via an email template) and via an on-screen powerpoint slide.

QUESTIONS TO THE PRESENTER

HOW DOES THE PRESENTER RECEIVE THE QUESTIONS?
Your presenter(s) will receive the questions either on their own iPad which we provide as standard or on a monitor display screen set up infront of the stage.
If the presenter is using an iPad we will set up the iPad in a mode that won’t allow the presenter to mistakenly close the app or shut it down.

DOES THE PRESENTER SEE ALL THE QUESTIONS SUBMITTED?
Up to you, they can either have all questions sent to them or they can go via a moderator. The moderator can delete, edit and choose what questions are sent.
We will sit with the moderator to assist with this.

CAN ALL THE DELEGATES SEE THE QUESTIONS SENT TO THE PRESENTER?
Yes there is that option. The advantage of that option is delegates can ‘like’ questions so they can be given extra priority from the presenter

POLLING QUESTIONS

HOW DO THE QUESTIONS SHOW UP ON DELEGATES DEVICES?
As long as they have their web browser open on the app page or the voting app open, the questions will come up automatically on their device screens.

SERVICE WE PROVIDE

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU SUPPLY?
We come to site with laptops to run the interactive app and also a secondary laptop for showing polling results live on screen.This laptop is dedicated to the polling display only.
If you’re running another PowerPoint presentation, you run that on your own laptop. We then provide a VGA or HDMI switcher to switch between the laptops (if an onsite switcher is not already available)

Please note: we do not normally include any other A.V. equipment (i.e. a screen or projector as these are usually already in place) but these can be quoted for on request.

HOW LONG DO YOU REQUIRE ONSITE TO SET-UP?
We always like to allow two hours to be safe. In that time we just need to connect our laptops to the AV system and the in house Wifi. All being well its very quick but we like to have extra time incase we have any Wifi or internet issues we need to deal with.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO ASK EACH QUESTION?
This will be up to the presenter. We have a countdown clock which we can set. Typically we tend to get the presenter to read out the question and then we start a 10 second countdown. So if you need less time its a case of the presenter reading through the questions more quickly. The results show up after the polling has closed instantly.

CAN WE MAKE LAST MINUTE CHANGES?
Yes we can add or edit questions onsite and during the meeting.
Often questions can be decided during meetings and voted on.
